Near Mortain*
*
Hauptmann Weber could see the exhaustion in each and everyone of his men's faces. They had fought for over a month now against an enemy with total material superiority as well as their own commander's pigheadedness.
*
*
Now they would have to embark on another pointless and futile adventure. "Listen up, men. Get your gear ready and get prepared to march out. We will form a Kampfgruppe with what is left of our Panzers and mount a counter attack."
*
*
"A counter attack?", asked Taeuber, his 2IC. "They want to get rid of us, don't they? And what Panzers are we talking about?"
*
*
"We will scrounge something together. And the main counter attack will not be made by us, but by 2nd Panzer in the south. We are supposed to mount a feint, in order to confuse the Americans and keep them from sending reinforcements to the south."
*
*
Intelligence: An American infantry unit is in the area. They might have tank support.
*
*
Objectives: Capture the victory hexes. Preserve your force as best as you can, there will be no reinforcements.*
